EpicSurf's Sponsored Surfer Rides Wave Pool Powered by WaveTek!
Cam Hoover, a 16-year-old aspiring professional surfer backed by EpicSurf sponsorship, recently took on a thrilling challenge at a 26,000 sqft wave pool at H2OBX Waterpark in the Outer Banks, NC. Powered by Aquatic Development Group's (ADG) cutting-edge WaveTek wave system, this wave pool unleashed waves reaching up to 5 feet in height.
Despite its primary design not being for surfing, ADG's wave pool, equipped with WaveTek's Aquawave wave system, proved to be an exhilarating venue for Cam and her surfing buddies. Featuring ADG's VaraWave pattern programmer, offering a variety of wave patterns throughout the day, the group opted for the 'Center Peak V' pattern to practice a range of surfing maneuvers for over four hours, unhindered by the constraints of waiting for natural ocean waves.
Surf instructor Cory Cartier praised the relentless wave action, noting that he caught more waves in the pool than during a typical ocean outing. Cam, leveraging her experience surfing on EpicSurf waves, not only taught her friends but also showcased her own skills, crediting the stationary deep-water wave for accelerating her progress as a surfer and competitor.
As Cam gears up for the WSL Short Board Tour in California, EpicSurf stands firmly behind her, supporting her journey in the world of competitive surfing. ADG, renowned for its expertise in designing and constructing water parks and attractions, continues to innovate with its wave technology, offering unparalleled experiences to surfers and water enthusiasts worldwide.
